Meet Devon Verdelli Wallish
Devon has been riding horses for fifteen years and currently rides second and third level dressage. He is an active US Pony Club rider, with his C2 in Horse Management, D3 Traditional, and C2 in Dressage. He has assisted in training in several horses over the years including four off the-track-thoroughbreds. He has had the privilege to intern with classically trained international trainers in recent years, traveling to Florida and Canada. Armando is his current mount in training which he raised and trained himself. Along with Armando, Devon has three Iberian fillies up and coming. Devon and his Iberians have shown the past four years successfully at Dressage at Devon international show, located in Devon, PA. And yes, that is where his mom got his name from! His experiences have also been to work for other trainers as rider and groom at several shows. Previously, Devon has lessoned with Julio Mendoza, Judy Westlake, Andrea Velas and spent the last year as a working student with international Dressage trainer, Neil McIntosh. Devon has also been practicing farrier work since age 14. In fall of 2019, he attended the Casey & Son Horseshoeing school in Villanow, Georgia.
Devon is now home teaching lessons, training his Iberians and working as a farrier apprentice. His personal goals right now include completing his scores for his bronze USDF medal and broadening his farrier business.
